Tips : Normal Cosplay to *OMG SPAZZ* Cosplay

So here i am today sitting in front of my computer just to talk to you about COSPLAY HELP!  Now mind you that i'm NOT the BEST COSPLAYER out there but i have a few tricks up my sleeve too.  Since i have seen the rapid OMG SPAZZ *)_#$* !@#@#!@ growth of our Cosplay community, i would like to share things that i have learned from my masters as well XD  you know you people are :O

So i'll be giving you my 5 Cosplay Tips that i have made while making this blog entry LOL  .

TIP 1: CHOOSING YOUR CHARACTER

When you decide on your character that you'd want to cosplay, make sure that theres is a resemblance of you and the character not only physically but also in personality!  Although you can do other characters but you could move and be your best at a character you'd feel comfortable doing.  After all, ONE WHOLE DAY OF EPICNESS in a COSPLAY CONVENTION is effin tiring.. -.-  but FUN XD

TIP 2: GETTING THE RIGHT FABRIC [TELA]

First of all, start up by printing a photo.  Now here's an IMPORTANT TIP for you.  Rather than printing a photo with your very cheap printer that i also have LOL you can go to a photo developing store and ask them to develop those photos for you instead.  Photos that are printed from normal printers and from the photo developing store shows HUGE DRASTIC differences.  Photos printed at home sometimes suck the resolution and color of the original photo that might lead to X FABRIC = X COSPLAY T_T  let's all try to avoid this mistake XD.  AND PEOPLE PLEASE.  Remember when you'd want that G.I Joe suit for a cosplay? DONT  DO THIS PLEASE

CEBU: I do suggest that you buy your fabric in CHESTER ENTERPRISES in SM since theres only a slight difference when you buy it down town and its waaaaaay easier to shop at the mall than downtown.  Though there's a good place in downtown Called CINDERELLA that sells a wide awesome range of fabrics that you could check out.

TIP 3: BUYING THE NECESSARY ACCESSORIES

Now here's the tough part.  People usually make the accessories by themselves.  They'd check downtown and see what they got and use their brains to mash up something awesome XD.  Although i have a friend online that could probably help you with your Accessories  : KOSPUREI SUGAR SHOP this person always is happy to help you find what you want and ship them wherever you are XD.  you can also try going to LA FAMILIA house if im not mistaken in downtown.  They have loads of stuff there.  Also do try PROGRESS store.  they have loads of stuff too.

Tip 4: WIG or HAIR

This person is AWESOME.  Just give that person what you need and a reference photo  XD  She'll get the job done for you.  I buy my wigs from  her and THEYRE CHEAP ! 1k-2k and they're in the best condition for the past month!  I believe you should try and receive the blessings i've received LOL. 

** NOW FOR THE CHOOSING OF THE RIGHT WIG **

JUST LOOK AT THEM lol.  XD anyway,  I got jin's naruto hair as my reference pic and kospurei sugar shop person gave me this WHICH I LOVED.

THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS: I HAS TO HAVE IT CUT =.=  well, My good friend Miles helped me with this part XD.  you can also try other salons.  As they say, Those people learned FROM REAL HAIR or FROM WIGS XD.  If you're having doubts, find someone really good.  Try having your own hair cut first then come back with the wig once you like it XD  WIGS DONT GROW BACK okay =)) GOODLUCK!

I HOPE I HAS HELPED YOU WITH THE WIG PART NAO.  Be guided when you buy from KOSPUREI SUGAR SHOP i guarantee you'll have awesomeness XD.  She even puts you in her client photos album LOL

PS> JUST LIKE WITH THE FABRIC, do choose the right color for your wig.  Take into account of its original color and how the color is blended when different camera's shoot it XD  ONCE YOU BUY IT you HAVE IT and CAN NEVER HAVE IT CHANGED T_T that's life.  So ask for advices before buying it :D

BTW for self styling, I RECOMMEND you us SUPER TIGHT WAX or Try Using Elmer's glue.  I believe they do awesome stuff :D  Awesome stuff i tell you!! I'll try to put up wig care Posts in the future LOL XD

FINAL TIP : Character Portrayal

THIS IS AN AWESOME example of an AWESOME CHARACTER PORTRAYAL. She had tips 1-5 right and now the final tip!  You should research who the character you're portraying is.  You should know that character by heart to save you from being GAAAY and *#)$N*!C@)$)_ when someone asks your photo and FAIL miserable =.=  Happened to me.. A LOT -.-  Watching the whole anime/ playing the game would help a lot.  and i mean A LOT. we WOULDN'T want to see a lili character do a spider man pose now do we? =.=  Keep our facts straight people! XD

I would like to end this post by giving out an inspirational message that i came up with:  "Cosplay is an awesome hobby which is WIDELY misunderstood but i do it.  Why?  It doesn't mean we're all grown up that we stop playing.  WE STOPPED PLAYING that's why WE GROW UP.  This is not your ordinary toy collection or your new wardrobe collection, It is a passion that has been made from pure love of our childish selves.  It is important though to stay grounded.  I know it's not easy especially if you're given lots of attention.  That phenomenon is inevitable but controllable.  I made lot's of new friends that i would treasure for the rest of my life.  Even when everything else would wither and fade, the smiles i've had and i've shared to others will last beyond our lifetime." =]
